I was always a creative, artistic type. From my teen years through my thirties, I was a musician-drummer, while at the same time delving into sculpting wood and soap stone.
I started to really like reading books in high school and have been an avid reader ever since. I loved the writing style of author- Ernest Hemingway, who has been a huge influence on me. I began writing myself in my thirties and it has resulted in my book that was published in January of 2015, called - "Written Imagery for the Emotions", which is a collection of short stories, poems, and other narratives.
I fell in love with art at about the age of 45 when I started taking lessons from a local artist who taught from his home. I went for an hour, once a week, for about a year. At that point, my teacher told me that he had taught me all of the basics and it was now up to me to paint as much as possible, learning from my mistakes, and discovering through experimentation and practice. I've been at it ever since, using all types of media, always striving to get better and learn more about new and different techniques and media.
I am currently experimenting with photography but will always continue to
to improve as an artist and writer.
